About Us
Movement Festival was born from a deep passion for movement, nature, and community. We believe that by bringing these three elements together, we can contribute to a more connected and regenerative world.
Our Vision
A world where people are reconnected with their bodies, each other, and nature. Where movement and play brings personal and collective growth, and where festivals contribute to the regeneration of our planet.
Our Mission
We create collective experiences that help people discover their authentic selves through movement in nature. Our festival inspires a conscious way of living in harmony with the Earth and supports a shift toward regenerative culture.
Our values
Connection
We believe in the power of genuine human connection through movement, nature, and community.
Sustainability
We care for people, nature, and community, and make conscious choices that support regeneration, fairness, and long-term balance — in how we organize, collaborate, and celebrate together.
Inclusivity
Movement Festival is for everyone, regardless of experience, age, body, or background.
Consciousness
We cultivate awareness of the body, mind, and our connection with the natural world.
Growth
We create space for personal growth and transformation through movement and community.
Regeneration
We work toward a regenerative culture that heals and restores rather than depletes.
Our Story
Movement Festival was born from the desire to create a space where different movement disciplines can come together, inspiring one another and learning from each other. Movement practices bring us into the present moment, into connection with our bodies, and into playful, embodied connection with one another.
Founder Jera Termorshuizen, with experience as steward of Landgoed Ottermeer and organizer of various consciousness-based events, recognized the opportunity to bring movement, nature, and community together.
Through his work with EDG, Yoga Festival Ottermeer, and Ottermeer Zomerweken, Jera has demonstrated that events can contribute to both personal transformation and ecological restoration.
Landgoed Ottermeer in Wouwse Plantage was chosen as the location because of its beautiful natural surroundings and the opportunity to collaborate on regenerative projects that strengthen the ecosystem.
